Panchakarma
Expertise in the field of Ayurveda – Panchakarma with enough practical experience in all the Shodhana Procedures. Special interest and expertise in female Uttara Basti. Involved in undergraduate and post graduate teaching of Panchakarma. Previous research includes various aspects of Ayurveda especially in the field of Panchakarma. Worked as Co Investigator of eMAP- e learning modules for Ayurveda Panchakarma, funded by ministry of AYUSH(2021).
My earlier works are in the field of Panchakarma especially in the area of Basti and Uttara Basti, which made the Panchakarma –Uttara Basthi popular among Ayurveda practitioners. To add to this I regularly conduct webinars to teach Uttara basti and application of Panchakarma in various diseases. Also Conduct Vamana Vasantha – Vamana Camp for 9 years and Sharad Virechana – Virechana Camp for 6 years. My earlier work in association with others, on the Development of an objective parameter for the anthiki Shuddhi of Vamana Karma created evidence in the assessment of Vamana Karma. Few of my earlier research was in the area of development of assessment tools for Ayurveda research provided evidence and simple clinical approaches, for the Ayurveda treatments specially for snehapana and nirooha basti. In view of promoting scientific Practice of Shodhana Chikitsa and Keraleeya Kriya Krama, since last 4 years conducts Karma Vasantham – 10 days intense Panchakarma Workshop and Hands on experience for the Practitioners and House Surgeons. Now regularly conducting workshops with hands on training on various aspects of Panchakarma to impart shastrokta jnana. Contribution in the field of medical education technology, is developed a portable shirodhara machine, identified as a master trainer for research article writing and research integrity etc by NCISM.
Since last one year involved in conducting workshops on Panchakarma procedures and providing hands own training to the students. Presently doing research work on Vardhamana Pippali rasayana in type 2 Diabetis melitus as part of SPARK under CCRAS Delhi.
