Prof. Bhavna Singh is the Principal of GS Ayurveda Medical College (G.S. University). A distinguished educator, investigative scientist, healthcare practitioner, intellectual, writer, and visionary, she is known for her exceptional administrative and organizational abilities, as well as her commitment to ethical professionalism.
Dr. Singh serves as the Chairperson of Healingtrees Society, a registered NGO, through which she passionately contributes to social service, with a special focus on promoting Ayurveda and Vaidic sciences within society.
She holds membership on the advisory and review boards of several major publishing houses. Her academic contributions include authoring works for renowned publishers such as Elsevier, Wolters Kluwer, IGI Global, and others. She has authored four books published by Chaukhamba Orientalia Publishing House and serves as the Editor-in-Chief of a national-level Ayurveda journal. In addition, she has published over 40 research papers in respected journals.
Dr. Singh has also held esteemed academic positions, including Professor and Head of the Department of Dravyaguna at Uttranchal Ayurvedic Medical College, Patanjali Ayurvedic Medical College, and Himalayayi Ayurvedic Medical College (affiliated with Uttarakhand Ayurveda University). She has guided more than 15 postgraduate and post-doctoral students during her career.
She has been associated with multiple research projects under prestigious institutions such as ICMR, CCRAS, and the Ministry of AYUSH.
Her work has earned widespread recognition. Under her leadership, GS Ayurveda Medical College was honored with the Best Ayurvedic College Award at the state level in 2023.
